WOW !! It’s been a busy busy weekend at the Men In Motion Campus with activities.
With the long-awaited arrival of the kick off for Men In Motion, the love and support was shown as the weekends events happened. To start off the Movember Events, The Men In Focus Art Gallery opened it’s doors to the public. With the curator JMB Balogh at the helm, it went smoothly. So many came out to take a tour of the tall building and the artwork that was displayed along the walls as well as sculptures on the ground. So many kind and wonderful words were expressed of the art that was displayed. Artists Alex Avion ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/105754203@N05/ ) and Silas Merlin ( https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/182058 ) made a surprise visit. It was wonderful to see the interaction between the artists and the guests. A huge thank you needs to go out to the guests that did attend, Sebastian Bourne, JP Damien, Hunter Zarco, Antonio & Hallie, Stoke and Lina, Cael & Queenie, Paul & Jilley, Zach Starostin, Ame Starostin, Nadi Zsun, Cannon, Beebs, Diawa & Nara and Ahn Avion. I am sure that I am missing a few guests and I apologize greatly. All in all, this was a wonderful way to start off the weekend of Events.

Friday, The Men At Night ( M@N ) showed us just exactly what they could do when they lights go off at night. With some nervous men backstage and some very excited ladies in the audience, it was the time to show what Sebastain, Hunter, Si and Zach can do. It was so much fun watching the interaction between the talented dancers as well as the sexy ladies that came out to support them. We even had a surprise bachelorette party show up which made for a very very busy night for the guys. DJ Ame Starostin rocked with the music and the men had a blast. We all kinda agreed that the man of the night was Hunter as the ladies just couldn’t get enough of him. One lady said something about ” wanting to braid his chest hair and cover him with chocolate” while another lady kept saying she was so ” grounded.” Grounding or not.. it was so much fun and sooooo not innocent. Now, there are some rumors that are suggesting that the M@N MIGHT be out again this coming Friday, November 9th @ 8pm… I’ll have to get back with you once I do some investigating on that rumor.

With a long night Friday, a bunch of us showed up with coffee and aspirin in hand for DJ Hanku from Club Image. Her amazing and extremely talented choice in music woke us up for sure. I could personally, could have stayed there all day listening to her music. With her being from Japan, we had the chance to hear a different genre of songs. So many enjoyed their time and danced until she was finished. Antonio and Hallie came out that morning and danced with us, I’m sure trying to wake up. Ame Starostin & Cara Bravin where there as well shaking their hineys. Sure, they might have been hiding in the bushes, but we still spotted them.

AUCTION AUCTION AUCTION AUCTION
Oh My Goodness.. never have I see an auction this exciting since we started having them sat the Men In Motion Events. We had Josh Starostin ( Zach & Ame’s Son), Hunter, Zach, Ame, Seb, Con, Cannon, Cara & Tristan. The total that was raised for the Movember Foundation was $99,300L which is approximately $400 USD. Not bad at all. Of course there was some bantering going on which made it even more fun. Between Nara and Carl, we weren’t sure who was going to walk away with Hunter that afternoon, Nara even tried to kick Carl and inform Hunter that Carl had bugs, bless her heart, she was trying everything. When it was all said and done, Carl did end up winning Hunter, however, passed his date to Nara to have with him. That was so sweet and kind. Of course, Nara as all nice to him when it was over once she found that out. Between a night of dancing, dinner, services to have your dances recorded, it was an amazing afternoon and was so overwhelming at how much was raised. Of course, as all things we do here in SL, some things are a lesson that we take with us for the future. There were some things that were done during the auction that we noticed and plan on incorporating for next year. So stayed tuned for that.

Last event that we had for the weekend was DJ Aryanna Prevost from Dance Xcetera. ( Noticed I actually spelled her name right, go me !! ) Aryanna never ceases to amaze us with her music and that night, she didn’t fall short. Breaking out songs from the 80’s and early 90’s, we all were having such a blast. Storm & Lina came out as well as JP & Fafnir, Dutchy, Dejaye, Zach, Ame, Jo, Seb, Jorgio and a few others from Dance Xcetera as well as friends of Aryanna’s. It was great to catch up on some old conversations as well as see friends that we haven’t seen in a while. All in all, her set was fun, filled with laughter and memories.
